Getting to St. Augustine

Monday March 11 was a long day. Linda dropped me off in town to catch the airport shuttle. Then through PDX through security. Did you know at age 75+ you no longer need to take your shoes off or go through the scanner? I felt so privileged! I lucked out and got an aisle seat with no one next to me on both flights. The flight to DFW was the bumpiest airplane ride I have ever experienced. Then I had to hustle to get to the next flight. The flight from DFW to JAX was much smoother. Got to JAX about 11:45 and Kalima picked me up and took me to my motel.

Tuesday morning I got up earlier than expected and after the motel breakfast I got a shuttle bus ride to the Beach House where Kalima works and where my bike was waiting for me. I spent the morning on a deck overlooking the ocean, in the full sun, unpacking and reassembling my bike. It all went well. No damage in shipping. Then lunch with Kalima and a lovely ride on the coast highway right along the beach.
