Out and back ride along the Applegate and Rogue Rivers. It was a cold winter day but the roads were dry and I had a great ride.
The route is simple. Park at the Murphy store. 10 miles to Wilderville and then 14 miles to Merlin. From Murphy take New Hope road. Turn left onto Fish Hatchery Road which takes you to Wilderville. Go right on Old Fish Hatchery Road one mile to Hwy 199 (Redwood Highway). Turn right on 199 and go less than a half mile to Riverbank Road on the left. Take Riverbank Road to Robertson Bridge. I stopped here at the boat launch park for a snack. About a quarter mile from the bridge on the left is Robertson Bridge Road which goes all the way (4 miles) to Merlin.
