Touring

Bicycle touring is my passion and I try and get out for multi-day or multi-week tours each year. I love to be going somewhere when I ride, exploring new roads and trails, seeing new places and meeting new people. While most of my tours have been in the northwest: Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, I also did a three week tour in Florida in 2016 and a six week tour in New Zealand in 2017. I also do a ten day tour with the Mid-Valley Bicycle Club each summer we call Loop Tour.

This tour was in three stages. Stage 1 was Fort Lauderdale to Key West. Stage 2 was the ferry from Key West to Fort Myers Beach, on the gulf coast, and the ride to St. Augustine with a stop over in Tampa to visit a friend. Stage 3 was St. Augustine back .

3 days and 2 nights. Over to Newport taking a lot of gravel roads, down to Beachside SP south of Waldport, and back up the Yachats River valley with more gravel to Five Rivers, Lobster Valley, and Alsea.

MVBC Loop Tour 2015 - Olympic Peninsula

Around the peninsula counter clockwise. Starting and ending in Montsano, Wa and heading north along Hood Canal and Puget Sound, around and back down the coast. Highlights inlude the Olymipc Discovery Trail and the coast.
