Champoeg Park

Took the WVSB. Got a good early start. Nice ride all the way. Crossed the river at Independence. New route through Salem much better than before. Gorgeous farm country on Wheatland road. No wheat, just berries and hops and filberts. Stopped at Spongs Landing north of Kaiser for lunch. Nice spot on the river. The bike camp at Champoeg is fine. Slightly away from the other campers with some nice big oaks for shade. Great showers as well.
