Took the quick route to Albany on Hwy. 20. It has a wide shoulder and I could go pretty fast. Pulled down to the river just before the bridge in Albany.
I usually take Bryant road through a nice park along the river and then on out to Riverside. Today however the road was under water.
I knew there was another way to get to Riverside but didn't know the way. Fortunately a couple came along on bikes and showed me the way. I saw more riders on the road today than on any other ride since I've been in Corvallis.
A nice shot looking over a Blueberry field to the coast range.
From Riverside I crossed 34/20 to White Oak an on to Peoria Road. Slow ride to Peoria into a mild head wind.
Met a guy who was riding from Corvallis to Eugene. I turned around at Peoria and headed back.
Coming into town on the bike path along Hwy. 34/20. There was a strong current and a lot of water flowing over the path. I got home at exactly 40 miles. AGR!
