Went for a fast short ride. Nice and warm for mid October.
Passed a bunch of riders on the way up from out of town - here for the bike institute. Still nice and warm.
Nice to ride with Larry and Bob again.
First MTB ride of the fall. Trails not bad really. Some loose sand. Went up single track. Felt pretty good.
First ride, actually first time I've been to Crater Lake. Nice day but smokey. No flat on this ride, all up and down. Quite a bit harder above 7000 feet.
The first annual. A great time was had by all. Very cold at the start but warmed up quickly. Quite hot by the end but most of the day it was perfect. 18 MPG average half way through but Kirks knee was bad and we had to slow down. Great after-ride party wi
Getting dark pretty early. We left at 5:30 and got back in the dark.
After the memorial for Linda's Dad I took a ride with his god son Kermit who was down from Seattle. It got dark but we both had lights.
Cold and gray at the start but the sun came out by 10 and it turned into a very nice day. Paul fell early on but got up and rode stronger then ever. I wore myself out trying to catch a faster rider, and then in some 23+ mph pace lines. We managed a 17.5 a
Felt pretty good. I should be ready for the Klamth ride. Getting dark early. Left at 5:40 and needed lights to finish.
A very good day. Cool at the start. I wore my vest and knee and arm warmers. Probably only needed the vest on the first downhill to Fort Jones. I rode strong the whole way.
Easy ride but my legs are still sore.
To Cammy's house
Adams rd - Camp Baker to the top - Dark Hollow - Poorman - Pioneer - Adams rd.
Drove up and rode MTBs. First to the top, then Meridian Divide then down past the Grose Gap shelter. Very hot in the valley, hot enough on top.
Legs felt like lead today. It got hot again. Not bad on the way up, and still cool coming down off the top, but very hot at the bottom. Took in Siskiyou Summitt on the way down.
Paul couldn't get his shoe unclipped and I had a flat, before the ride started. Dan and I went on. My bike rolled over 5000 miles.
Hot again and smokey. Much nicer on top. Did the whole climb in my middle chain ring 39 - 21. Kept it close to 8 mph.
Hot day but pleasant on top. Stopped for breakfast at Hyatt lake at what used to be campers cove.
Easy ride with Linda. Back on Valley View.
Had a flat. Almost dark by 8:30. Nice ride though
We parked at the end of the pavement and climbed for 4 miles before turning off on a trail Then climbed some more before reaching some really nice single track.
Out to Buckhorn, back to Jacksonville and then some

Hardest thing I ever did
Pushed the hills. Wagner, Anderson, Adams Road, Pioneer, Carpenter Hill. Back on the bike path.
Recovery ride with Linda. Much cooler now.
David rode from J'Vill and met me at 8. It was much cooler today then it has been. We kept a good pace on up. I did much better on the steep part then last week. On the way back I stopped at Ian's bike shop and David went on home. I eneded up going out ov
Temeratures have been over a hundred for about a week. A little cooler tonight. It was fine once we hit the trees.
7 am start, already 75 degress. It's supposed to hit 105. Andy's last ride before leaving for Africa.
Early Friday ride. I had to turn around and race back when I got a call from work.

Adams Road - Pioneer - Dark Hollow - Carpenter Hill. 15.5 avg
We were going to do the lakes loop but when we got to Greensprings decided to keep going out Hwy 66. Tubb springs down to Jenny Creek back up to Parker Mt. Summitt at 4350 feet. A lot of climbing.
Another morning ride
Early morning ride. Very nice
Buckhorn Springs - Jacksonville. Got an early start so the heat was not a factor. My legs felt very sore and tired. Need to build back up my base.
Much cooler tonight. The path now goes a mile beyond the bridge to nowhere. Came back via Colver road.
Up DIM which was a real bear. Left early so it was nice and cool. Road our Buck Prairie Road which is about 4 miles each way. Very nice.
