Still some slush, and frozen slush, on the higher trails. Warmer, mid 40s, and windy today.

Needed 39 miles to make 3000 for the year. Not a bad day for a road ride, cold by mostly dry. Ran into David's gang on South Stage and rode with them over Carpenter Hill and Pioneer. Update: Found a logic flaw in the code - it wasn't counting last new year's day ride. The actual total for 2007 is 3032.
Slushy and slippery. Not much lower down but more accumulation on top since my last ride.
in the snow. About an inch at home, not much more on top. Traction was good all the way.
Up Tolman. A little warmer - low 40's. Trails are clear and not too muddy.
Solo night ride. Finally warm enough - low 40's is much better then low 30's. They graded the road. Lots of mud suck. Really bad above the gate.
Cold, low 40's but no wind. Road up the dead end at Payne Road and Fern Valley. It turns into David Lane and climbs stead for about a mile. Great view looking back towards Mt. A and Wagner. Looped out South Stage to Hull Rd. - Columbus - Dark Hollow - Car
Cold - traces of snow on the trails. I went up the single track. Okay except for dug out water bars on WR and the slippery root on the top switchback on caterpillar.
My first night ride of the season. Andy is off to Colorado tomorrow - Paul in for surgery next week.
Up Tolman to Toothpick over to 2060 up to Catwalk - down and home. Cold, very cold.
Another sunny day. They just keep coming. I felt a bit slower today. Still a great ride.
Sunny and cold but warmed up to about 50. Met up with David in Phoenix. Got pretty tired after about 30 miles.
Thanksgiving morning. Sunny and cold. People everywhere but no other bikers. Felt really good. I'm very thankful that I can still ride.
It was supposed to rain all weekend but instead it was mid 60s and sunny. Unexpected great ride. Slow going out with a head wind but flew back.
Started on bike path but to many wet leaves covering the path. Just went to Colver park and back.

To Gold Ray dam. Met David and gang in Ashland and rode back to Jacksonville with them. Went on with Paul to Scenic, Tolo, and across to the dam. Back via Blackwell to Seven Oaks although I wouldn't recommend this way again.
Reverse. Besson - Adams - Pioneer - Fern Vally and back. Warmer but getting dark by 8.
And up Griffin Creek. My back felt much better but I didn't bring enough food and ran out of energy about 10 miles from home.
Missed the whole week with a bad back. Easy ride today to see how it would go. Ran into Cindy Powell who's husband Tom used to be a football coach at SOU. She told me about surfing at Crescent City.
Easy pace but it was still a struggle for me. Warmer but not terrible. Bike path is closed from dog park to Valley View to repair a bridge.
Had an ambitious ride planned but had no energy for it. Came straight down Greensprings instead of doing a loop.
Leaving a few minutes earlier each week. Days are getting shorter. Dan and Dan left before we did and we saw them as they were coming down.
Dan D. rode with us to Talent. Clockwise loop. My legs felt pretty good. Still not too hot.
An in the valley century in August! Never got much over 80. David left Jacksonville at 6, meet Andy and I at 7:30 - out to Buckhorn and back - met Dan at 9 - sam route as last week to Gold Hill then on to Valley of the Rogue park - back Old Stage to Jacks

Clockwise starting with the trail from 3705 to the backside of Fish Lake. Road 900 connects to a trail which hits high lake trail at the horse crossing sign. The climb up Brown Mt. was much the way I remembered it fro a few years ago. The rest of the trai
Added in the three miles to Tub Springs and back. Best place to get water. I was pitifully slow.
Hot in the valley so we drove up. Much more pleasant on top. Andy's real wheel broke.
Morning ride just up to the trailhead.
The whole gang for a change. Nice.
